They will only surrender if they feel completely outmatched beyond all hope. You can help the intimidation factor by amassing huge wealth, but you also have to control most of the territory, no way around that.
Okay, thanks. Any specifics on how much wealth I should have? Also, do bandits offer any kind of morale boost to rivals or is it just a financial drain?
The only think I would recommend is a custom map maker, or perhaps a creative mode, as I like adding little stories whenever I conquer an island and those would surely help
Liked the idea but needs some significant work in improving the info about what's going to happen.
e.g. I had an enemy villager step next to my knight (docs say this is impossible, knight was defending adjacent squares. Docs are wrong? But this seems a basic gameplay feature).
Very hard to know what's going to happen, you just have to keep guessing and hitting UNDO each time something seemingly impossible happens.
Every unit protects adjacent tiles of the same color (tiles that don't belong to you are not protected). I'm guessing that's where the confusion came from, I'll highlight it more in the help. Any concrete feedback on what other rules were counter-intutive is welcome!
It would be nice if you could choose your colour, and the colour of the enemies for that matter. This goes especially if you're playing with the high contrast setting. I just kinda want the novelty of it.
Also, choosing how many factions and how many towns each faction starts with would be a nice option to Conquest mode. The current way of choosing things doesn't seem to work that way.
Of course, I don't know programming, so I don't know how easy or hard these things would be to implement. And I'm sure you've got your hands full anyway. So continue the good work on the game.

Hey bro, I had some nice hours of fun on Konkr.io. I really appreciate your work on this.
Hey does anyone know how to get rivals to surrender? I always like trying to play 4X games as pacifist/as close to pacifist as possible

Ah! That explains it, I was completely confused by that - thanks!

FOCACCIA HARD MODE - WIN
Important first 4-5 moves
Main rule: put some land for opponent to conquer, then with next run kill solders (keep opponent money in low).
If opponent put torrents - it is good, because he spends money (and later it will cost money for keeping them) Good Luck - Try to win :)
